I first came to Stehekin in 1993 after graduating with a Fine Arts degree from Humboldt State University in northern California. I’ve lived in the Stehekin Valley for over 30 years. I'm a visual artist with an emphasis in oil painting, but I try not to limit myself in the types of materials I use to express myself. This collage in particular uses vintage National Geographic maps that had been collected by a legendary trail worker here in the Valley. I'm inspired not only by the beauty that surrounds Stehekin, but also by the unique community and the dynamics within. I met Lori in Stehekin, she will always inspire me.
