"Meet me at Cascade Pass and I'll show you a view that will knock your socks off." This quirky invitation arrived on a postcard from Jonathan over forty years ago. I got a ride to the trailhead outside Marblemount and thirty three switchbacks later, huffing and puffing, I met him at the pass. We made our way down to Stehekin, stopping for the sock-popping view of Lake Chelan and Domke Mountain from the Rainbow Loop Trail. Later that year, we moved here.
I have enjoyed being outside and drawing what I see for as long as I can remember. I like trying to catch the essence of a subject with the simplicity and spontaneity of brush drawing. I use my drawings as the basis for my shirt designs and fabric art.
